"Medieval Sallet" HEMA Helmet

A fully integrated medieval sallet style HEMA helmet, with hinged visor.  A perfect compliment to our line of synthetic medieval armour*

Modified HEMA mask with integrated hard shell overlay. This mask, due to the modifications, is NOT rated.  However, unofficially, the bib and face mesh are the same as used in our 350N fencing masks.

The included mask should not be used alone without the helmet or other hard protection, as the sides of the mesh are shortened and the back of the head is only protected by padded fabric.

Easy to put on and take off, this mask is the same weight (just over 2 kg) as a standard mask plus leather overlay, with enhanced impact protection, and un-matched style !

• Hinged and removable visor.
• Back strap is the new (2018) FIE standard - more secure, comfortable and stable.
• Note that the inner lining on this mask is not removable
• Note that the mesh is black, not silver.

*(Yes, we know that the sallet is of a later style that does not match our full suit of armour... but it "does the job" by providing the visibility contraints, paired with the glancing surfaces nearly all visored helmets offered).
